When do they check your Q visa?

My Q type destination city from the invitation letter is Beijing. Can I take the plane to Hong Kong and then fly to somewhere else in China instead of Beijing? Are they able to check what your destination city is in US before boarding or in Hong Kong by scanning the Q? And what about the flight back?

After you get the Q, the passport with the Q will be checked at the airport in USA before boarding; however, the destination city will not printedon it. So it will not affect you to travel to other cities.

The flight back to USA? If so, it will not affect it, neither.

I am a bit confused. Do you already have Q type or not? Q is for family reunion. Yes, it's valid for 30 days. You should change it into a temporary residence permit from local entry and exit management bureau before it expires. If you come to China for a visit, you'd better apply for a L type.

But I thought the Q1 is only single entry and only for 30 days. And my wife lives here in the US with me, not in China, so dont see what her bank account has to do with it.

Maybe I'm better off with L type?
