tourist visa for visiting china for a usa person

Question

I am a US citizen and I am traveling to China in two weeks to sight see. I did not realize the time needed for a china tourist L and I am now very worried I will not get one in time. I have filled out all the paper work but I am not sure where to send/ go to complete my application. I am hoping I can go to the embassy in Ankara?

Which country are you in now? If you are in Turkey, you can try to apply it in Turkey with all the documents you prepare together with your proof of your legal status in Turkey.
