About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

Can I visit Shenzhen from Hong Kong for a few hours during layover without visa?

Sorry, USA citzens can't apply for the VOA for Shenzhen. So you need to apply for a L type in advance before you go to Shenzhen.
