About:Entry Regulations of China

My Indian passport is valid till 11 April,2015. Can I enter China on November 11, 2014 ?

My Indian passport is valid till 11 April,2015. And my Chinese visa is valid till 23 December, 2014. I'm planning to visit Shanghai on 11 November, 2014 . On that day my passport will be valid for 5 months. I will stay there for one week. Will I be allowed to enter China without problem ? I'm very confused and don't know whom to contact in this matter. Kindly guide.

Manjit, I think you can enter China on Nov. 11. The validity limit for your passport is set for applying visa. Once you have your visa, you can visit China before it expires. However, I am afraid that you can not extend your visa when you arrive because it is just valid for five months.

China requires 6 months of validity as an entry requirement. You likely wouldnt be allowed to board your plane from country of departure.
