Traveling to China as Tourist, but also need to check out local electronic Vendor for business

Hello, I am US citizen, Can I travel travel to Shenzhen, China as tourist with L, and also meet with local electronic vendors to possibly create a business relationship for future deals. We will try to meet with Vendors in Shenzhen, and then check out some local sight seeing/tourist. Would I still need a M type? or can L type be sufficient? Thank you.
