Hello, I am US citizen, Can I travel travel to Shenzhen, China as tourist with L, and also meet with local electronic vendors to possibly create a business relationship for future deals. We will try to meet with Vendors in Shenzhen, and then check out some local sight seeing/tourist. Would I still need a M type? or can L type be sufficient? Thank you.

If you will do your checking during your trip, you do not need to apply another M. The L is enough. On the other hand, after you get a new M, your crrent L will expires automatically. If you want to purchase something, you need to apply a M type.
