About:Marriage Registration in China

Canadian marrying a Chinese citizen in china

Hi,
I want to know if I need to get a statements In Lieu of Certificate of Non-Impediment to Marriage Abroad to get married in China. If so, do I have to get it in Canada or from a Canadian consulate in China. What are other requirements for me to get marry in China?

The certificate you mentioned is required to get married in China.
You need to apply to get it through Authentication and Service of Documents Section, Foreign Affairs and International Trade.
Besides this certificate, your valid passport, visa or resident permit are required for getting married in China.
