You can board with a wheelchair. If it is too large to enter, you can fold it and ask the staff on the platform to help you.

I don't have a wheelchair, I have a mobiity scooter which has 3 wheels and is about 150 pounds heavy, but the chair can be lifted apart from the rest of the scooter and the handle can fold down to be slightly more compact but still very heavy. My past experiences have been that the stations won't let me drive it in to the platform and only allow me to rent a wheelchair to get to the platform, but the wheelchairs are WAY TOO SMALL for me and I am hurt for days afterwards.

I think you are missing a major point. To me, there is not much in terms of handicapped friendly infra-structure here. It is not only the rail service that will be a problem.
