Hi, even during cold months, nearly all the attractions are open to the public, so u can still have a good time in the two cities.

In BJ, the Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City, Temple of Heaven, Art Zone 798, Badaling Great Wall and Wangfujing are must-sees. If time permits, you can also go to see the Bird Nest and Water Cube.

In Shanghai, the Bund should not be missed. Apart from that, go to visit the Oriental Pearl TV Tower, Jin Mao Tower, Xin Tian Di. U are also recommended to spend some time on the local famous pedestrian - Nanjing Road for dining and shopping.

If you don't want to anything worthwhile in the two cities, it would be best to turn to a travel agency. After all, they are more professional.

Hello, I'm from Shanghai, Jackie has recommended some wonderful places for you to meet. Besides, I want to advise more, hope it will work for you.
You can try the Hop-on Hop- off Sightseeing bus in Shanghai, which is very convenient and economic to meet most of the scenic spots in Shanghai. Tian Zi Fang is near to Xin Tian Di, they are different types of Shanghai old-fashioned building. And you can also take a rest in Sinan Mansions, feel the peaceful nature on a breezy afternoon, with a nice cup of coffee and warm sunshine.
Have a nice trip!
