Hi,I'm a Trinidad citizen living and working for a US based healthcare company in the USA. I will require a Chinese visa for the purpose of attending business meetings in China. I will be in Trinidad on vacation prior to my trip. Would it be possible to obtain it at the local Chinese consulate? What type will I be applying for (tourist or non-commercial?) What are the requirements? and How long is the processing time? (Will I be able to obtain the it inside of a week with a Trinidad holiday)Sharon B

You mean applying in USA or in Trinidad?If you mean in USA, you can apply there at local embassy/consulate since you live and work in USA. You may have passport of Trinidad, right. If so, you can also apply in Trinidad. You need to apply for a F type for the meeting. In general, you need to prepare your valid passport, an application form with a recent taken photo and an invitation letter from the meeting for your application. The processing time is around 4 working days. For more details, you may need to contact the embassy/consulate for asking.
