About:FAQ of Chinese Visa Application

Do I need Chinese Visa with my HKSAR passport?

I'm holding HKSAR passport and I will visit mainland China (Shanghai) from Canada. Do I require Chinese mainland one?

It is not needed, but you need to have a Home Return Permit to visit Shanghai with your HKSAR passport. You need to apply it through the local Chinese embassy/consulate.
