Hi. We are planning to visit HK, Macau and Guangzhou, arriving HK on the 5th of January. Will the New Year celebrations be over and done with?

Craigp, the celebrations usually are held to celebrate Chinese Lunar Year, which falls Feb 19, 2015. Even there are celebrations for New Year, they are already finished when you come.
