About:China Visa Renewal and Extension

Renew my visa M without returning back to Canada

Hi, I would like to know if it's possible to renew or extend my M for an other 6 months in China. My first M will expire in 3 weeks on October 21 2014 and I would like to renew my M without returning back in Canada. My future employer told me that I need to return back to Canada to apply for an other M but I don't know why I should need to return back home if I am already in China. At least, is that possible to go to Hong Kong and renew or extend my curret M there or I really need to return back to Canada to apply for a new one?
Thanks!

How kind of your current M type, a multiple one?
If so, you can extend it China, but the extend is only valid for the last duration of stay. It means it only extend your current stay for another several days. After those days end, you need to leave China.

If you want to apply for a new one, you need to go back to Canada. Or at least go to HK to have a try. Some people can theirs in HK, but it is not assured that everyone can get there.

My visa M was good for 2 entries and after it will expired. Now, it's already my 2nd entry so I don't have anymore entries at the moment.

I been to Tianjin to meet my HR and they told me that it can be possible with them to extend my visa for an other 3 months. But after this period I will need to return back to Canada and apply for a new visa.
