Transit in Guangzhou as an Australia person

Good afternoon. I recently booked tickets to go to Germany through china. However i dont have visa to travel through china for as the cheapest flight i could get tells me to stop at Guangzhou on the 19 th of December from 5:50 pm to 9:25 pm on the same days 2014, as well on my way back i need to stop in Guangzhou on friday 9th of january from 10 am to wait for my next flight which is on the 10th on january 2015 at 8 ;20 AM so i need to be in china for 22 hours, so i would like to be in a hotel that night..... I am a Colombian passport holder and i study a Master Degree in Sydney Australia for the last 3 years. i would like to know what i need to do to get a transit G for the time i am going to be in china during my flight to Germany.... thanks,

The first transfering is also less than 24 hours, right?
If so, no transit G is required for both of your two trips. You can enjoy the 24-hour free transit policy. You just need to show your valid passport at the airport to apply for a stay permit to leave the airport.
