How m ay times can you use a 72hour free visa?

I am flying into Beijing and travelling the next day to Shanghai by train. I will stay overnight. on the 4th day I will board a cruise Ship. this ship will also go to Xian

Can I apply for another 72 hour free transit when I arrive in Xian
