If you want to get there via bullet train, you can take the subway line 2 from Bell Tower to Noth Railway Station. There are trains to Huashan North, you can take one.

When you arrive, there are buses from the train station to the mountain foot directly, you also can take a taxi there, about CNY20.

If you want an easier route, you should take a taxi to Donggoukou to get the cable car. It will reach the west peak, which is easier to get to the South and East peaks from there.

The hiking takes about 2 – 3 hours if taking cable car. And apart from going down the mountain with cable car, there is another fast way named Zhiqu Huashan Road, which is quite challenging. It takes about 40 mins from the north peak to the foot.

The last bullet train back to city is at 20:56 (G663).

In fact, there is another easy way. In the eastern square of xi-an Railway Station, there are direct tourist buses No. 1 to the mountain foot. You can take one go and return.
