picking up the tickets

I booked two train tickets, but I arrive earlier in beijing before my wife arrives. Can I pick up both tickets with my passport (I booked the tickets) before she arrives, or does one need two passports to pick the tickets up?

You need all the passports for the ticket collection. Thw ticket window staff will check all the passports and then give you the tickets. You can only collect your ticket by using your passport.
