day trip to tiger leaping gorge

Possible to have a day trip there by public transport?Or I shall join a tour for a day trip?

Oh, i see.  If you start from Lijiang, it's possible for you to have a day trip. There are many direct buses between these two places. And it takes 2.5-3 hours to go to the scenic area. If you have detailed touring route, you can travel by yourself. If not, you are suggested to join a tour. In this way, it can make sure that you won't miss important spots in this scenic area.  :)
