There is no age limitation for Work Z type, but the age will affect to get a work permit. The work permit is necessary for applying Work Z. The age for work permit is 18 to 60 years old for man and 18 to 55 for woman to apply a work permit.

Hi Thomas,

thank you for your response although checking the website above it seems men are limited at 65? Was this a change ? I know many men who are over 60+ still working in China..can you advise why that is ?

Thanks Tony.

If you will work in China as a teacher or a senior manager, the limited age is no more than 65 years old. For ordinary work, the limitation is less than 60 years old.

It may be OK for a director with experience and you may need to ask the one who hires you. Because they help you to get the work permit.
