About:Transfer in T3 of Beijing Capital Airport

Beijing Airport to hotel in Wukaokou: shuttle bus or taxi?

I heard that waits for taxis are extremely long at the Airport. Would it be better to take shuttle bus #5 to Xueyuanqiao, then take local taxi to hotel in Wudaokou? I am travelling with two senior citizens so ease of obtaining taxi and minimizing walking distances are key.

Yes, shuttle bus is more reommended and the taxi waiting queue is usually long indeed. After getting at Xueyuanqiao by shuttle bus line 5, the Wudaokou is only 0.7 miles away. As you are with the seniors, it would be best to take a taxi then.
