why the chines call the yellow river as mother river? why thy don't give it an other name?

It says that the earliest primitive men lived along the river. Later, the oldest dynasties including Xia, Shang and Zhou all flourished here. There is a saying that Yellow River Region is the cradle of Chinese civilization. Hence, Chinese people named this river as their mother river.13

Because the people live along the river to survive.They catch fish and other animals.We know where's the river where live people.We don't live in the desert,right?3
