About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

3 hours connection in Shanghai and 70 hours in Beijing

I will fly from Bangkok, then I change planes in Shanghai (3 hours connection), and then I follow to Beijing where I stop for 70 hours before leave to US. Can I enjoy the 72 hour free transit? Thanks!

Since you will stop in two cities in China, you cannot enjoy the 72-hour free transit policy. That policy is only available for those who makes transfer in one city.
So you need to apply for a Transit G in advance.
