About:

Beijing at National Day holiday

Hi, I'm in China as part of work instruction and I want to travel to Beijing on this holiday (because this are the only free days during studies).
What others attraction, among Great Wall and Forbidden city, can I visit? Specially the first days, to avoid queues an crowd places.

Great Wall, especially Badaling Great Wall and Forbidden City may be the most crowded on the second and third day of the holiday. You can make them the other days. Or you can visit Mutianyu Great Wall instead of Badaling, which is less crowded. In addition to these attractios, you can also visit Summer Palace, Yonghe Lamasery, Princess Gong's Mansion, Hutong in Houhai area. But still, they are more crowded than usual days.
