About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

We plan to stay 3 days in Shanghai, then 4 days in Beijing, then fly to Siam Reap.

That makes 7 days in China. Are we entitled to that free visa? US passport.

You need to apply for a single entry Tourist L for visiting China. The exemption policy is only applicable for those making flight transfering in China.
