About:Beijing Travel

Can I bring American ginseng (grown in America) to Beijing, China and Hong Kong?

It is about 8 oz ($90) worth
Will customs allow it?

Is it fresh ginseng? If so, it is forbidden to take into China. If they are dry ones, I heard it is only allowed to bring some for self use. Those with the value of $90 should be fine.
