We want to be married in China

Hello, my fiance lives in China and I am a Canadian citizen and we are planning to be married in China. Do I need to have my divorce certificate notarized at the Canadian Embassy in China and if so how long does this take and am I able to just go there and have it done within a short visit? Could you also please tell me where I need to go there to have this completed? Thank you so much for your time in advance

Marsha

Your divorce certificate needs to be notarized at your local notary organization and embassy/consulate and authenticated at the Canada Ministry of Foreign Affairs and local nearby Canadian Embassy or consulate.

Usually, the authentication and notarization processing days in the embassy are around 4 working days for each. For other time, you may need to ask the offices directly in your country.

If you want to find the detail procedure, you may need to find on the official website of Chinese embassy in Canada.
