About:Chinese Embassy in Kuwait

Do we need a ticket to apply for a visa to China or we book the ticket after receiving it?

Do you want to apply for a Tourist L type? If so, you need to provide tickets before application, because the tickets are needed in application.

Dear Mr. Frank, thank you for your reply to my question, at Sep. 16 2014 21:53:12. you replied that if we apply for a tourist L to China the application should accompany a ticket, I have an invitation letter from a company to see and try their machine before we buy it, is the application for a business and trade type? should i book a ticket or I wait to get it then I buy tickets?

You will buy that machine in China or just see it and then buy it when you go back home?
If you just see it, you can apply for a F type for exchanging and investigating. If you also plan to buy, you need to apply for a M type for commercial activity.

Since you have already have an invitation letter, the tickets are not necessary. You can make application first and then buy tickets.
