About:China Tourist Visa

Travel Information to apply Chinese visa

I am planning to travel to Nanchang in November. I am wanting to also travel to Beijing and Shanghai during my visit. I am wanting to purchase train tickets but I do not know the exact days I will be traveling to those places yet. I have already booked my air flight (11/15-11/29). What do I put on the Itinerary if I do not know the exact days I will be traveling to Beijing and Shanghai? I have booked my hotel also during my stay in Nanchang. Do I just put my hotel I am staying at in Nanchang and that is all? Or do I also put my stay in Beijing and Shanghai even though I do not know the dates. I do not have proof for Beijing and Shanghai.

You can write down your route in general, because it is allowed to change the itinerary after you get the Tourist L.

It is OK to put your hotels confirmation letter for application. If you can show your hotel's booking in Beijing or Shanghai, it will be much better. Personally, you can book first to use in your application and then cancel after you obtain. If you cannot show, it does not matter.

Do I put that I am taking the train? I am not booking for my train tickets until I obtain my Tourist L because I cannot get money back if I cancel that.

Personally speaking, the trains tickets are not needed to mention if you do not use them to enter and leave China. Only the round tickets to and from China are needed for application.
