About:Chinese Consulate in Zurich

As a US citizen can I get a visa for China while in Switzerland if it is urgent?

My son is in China to study for 11 months on an exchange program with the Graduate Institute of International and Development Studies. He is in the hospital and very ill as the result of a cut and severe infection. I would like to go and take care of him for a week. Can I apply while I am in Switzerland under these emergency circumstances? Thank you -

Sherry, you can visit the embassy and tell what happened to your son. I think the embassy will issue on immediately.
