I suggest you travel by direct long-distance bus between. Buses are frequently scheduled at Guangzhou Provincial Bus Terminal and Tianhe Bus Terminal for your choice, so it is easy to get a ticket on the spot. It takes around 5h to arrive and the bus fare is CNY130-150 per person.

In addition, you can also take a high-speed train at Guangzhou South Railway Station to Chaoshan Station. Then outside the train station, u can transfer to a shuttle bus to your destination. You are advised to book the train tickets in advance.
