About:Hong Kong MTR

Is it advisable to purchase an Octopus Card for a 3 day duration in Hong Kong?

We did not book for any tour package thus we will be relying more on public transport such as the buses and MTR. Which Octopus Card should I purchase for the whole duration of the stay?

Yes! The Octopus Card is useful for transportation and can also be used to make purchases. If my memory serves me right, the $50 value in the card is refundable if you haven't consumed it when you're done with the tour and return the card to MTR Service stations.
