Son's Studying in China and wants to take a trip home

Hi,

Our Son is studying in Beijing and only got an X1 Single entry Visa. He is thinking of maybe wanting to come home for 2 weeks during his year long study year.

Is it possible to convert his X1 to a dual/multiple entry one in Beijing?

thanks

Simon

Since your son has got a X1, he needs to change his X1 into a resident permit local the local PSB within 30 days after he enters China. With the resident permit, he can enter and re-enter China as many times as possible if he want. So he can go back home for 2 weeks during his studying year. He does not need to convert the X1 to other types.
