Valid China visa in stolen passport

My passport got stolen in the Philippines.
Now I would like to go back to China.
What should I do?

Do I need to apply for a new one for my new passport?
Or can I transfer the old one into the new passport? (I can't present the old one as it got stolen.)

Since the old one was stolen already and you are not in China now, it is suggested to apply a new one. It is not assured that you can change your old one to the new passport out of China and you may need to consult the local embassy/consulate.
