About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit

72 hour visa for UK people

Hi. I am holding a UK passport and flying to Tokyo via Shanghai (stopping there for 2 days). Then when I depart from Tokyo back to London, I am also going to stop in Shanghai for about a day.

Preume I can get 72 hour transit visa granted at the airport? Should I just inform the airline when I check in at LHR?

Thank you so much

Your first trip is UK - Shanghai - Tokyo and the back try is Tokyo - Shanghai -UK?
If so, both of your trips can enjoy te 72-hour free transit, so you can get out of the airport. You need to tell the company that you want to enjoy the policy when boarding.
