will be in Guangzhou for 2 weeks and would like to catch local bus how do i buy tickets

If you take the buses just few times, you can buy the tickets when you get on the bus, and you need to prepare for some changes with you.
Or you can but one Yang Cheng Tong transportation card, which can be used both on bus and subway, very convenient. The card can be purchased at most subway stations.1
