About:Chinese Currency & Money Exchange

New US Bills!

I just got back from China. The first hotel I exchanged money at when I was checking out they wanted their money back because my USA $ was told old and warren. The second one they kicked back a few bills and asked for a few different ones. So I would go to a bank in the USA and ask for new crisp bills before going over there.

Gary, I guess that the hotels are worried that they may receive fake USD. That's why they ask for new ones. Next time, you may exchange your money at the banks. They wouldn't mind that you exchange old USD with them.

The first Hotel took it to the bank, then bank is the one that kicked it back. Also seeing I was there for work I didn't really have time to go to a bank. So just going to a USA bank and asking for new crisp bills works.
