About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Once I arrive in Shanghai with the 72 hrs permit, can I apply for a regular china visa in Shanghai?

You can try to apply for one, but it is not assured that the local PSB can approve your requirement. Usually, people are hard to get a regular one unless they really have some urgent things to handle.
