About:72-Hour Visa-Free Transit FAQ

Shenzhen to Beijing to Hong Kong to London

I am in Shenzhen on a 5 day special economic zone visa which allows me to stay in Shenzhen only. I have a meeting scheduled in Beijing. Can I fly to Beijing, go to my meeting in the city and then the next day fly out to Hong Kong.

You are not allowed to enter Beijing with the Shenzhen's VOA. It is suggested to go to the local Exit-Entry Adminstration Bureau to apply for a F type for your meeting in Beijing.

Hi Devon,

I was hoping that I could enter Beijing on the 24/72hr transit free program they have?

It is a pity that you cannot be on the 24/72 transit, since you are in Shenzhen now. The 24 or 72 hours free transit is only available for passengers who need to transit in China.
