About:China Customs Declaration

mixture of currencies

What is the limit if i can a mix a chinese yuan and foreign currency in? would it be counted towards 20,000 Chinese yuan or 5000 usd (or equivalent foreign currency) ?

There is not specific rules for the mix of money you can take. However, no matter how to mix, the total should not be over 20,000RMB or 5,000USD or any other equivalent foreign currency. The foreign curreny will be exchanged into China as a reference at the custom.
