About:China Visa Application in USA

Processing time and pick up location question

Today is Friday, August 29. I live in Austin. I am leaving for Asia on Saturday September 6. The consulate is in Houston and Monday is Labor day.

Can I successfully get a Visa by Friday?
Do I have to travel to Houston to get it? (I do not have an agent in Houston that can pick it for me.)

Usually, the processing days are around 4 working days and the US embassy/consulate does not issue rush day service, as it is known.

It is suggested to apply for a express service, so that you may obtain in around 2 to 3 working days. You may get yours by next Friday. You nee to apply in Houston to apply on your own, otherwise, you may not to get it in an express service.
