Hi what is the best way to travel from shanghai to xi an?

you can take the flights between Shanghai and Xian. You can get a very good discount if you book the ticket early.
the overnight train from Shanghai to Xian is also a good choice, it is cheap and you will reach your destination in about 14 hours.
