About:Packing Tips for Traveling China

Washing clothes in China

My husband and I want to pack light as we will be traveling for four weeks and don't want to drag large suitcases. I know we should plan on drinking bottled water but wonder if there is any danger in washing out clothes in cold tap water from the sink in the hotel room? Would we need to boil water to wash our clothes?

Candace, it's not as horrifying as you thought. It's safe to wash your clothes with cold tap water at the hotel.

It's true Candace. Washing the clothes won't be a problem at all. Where about are you going? 4 weeks is a great length of time!
