About:China Student Visa

Can I "add" an additional entry onto my X2 Student Visa - while in Shanghai?

I am currently studying full time in Shanghai on a X2 Student Type (single entry).

I have been in Shanghai for approximately 60 days of my 180 day, and I need to urgently return home as a close family member is in hospital and will likely pass away in the coming days.

I am unsure if I can “add” another entry to my existing single entry X2 Type, to allow me to re-entre China. Or whether I will need to reapply for another X2 Student Type whilst I am in my home country?

Thank you for your assistance, I really appreciate your help.

According to the rules, you cannot add an additional entry to your current X2 type.
However, your situation is special, so you are suggested to turn to your school to help. After all, the school has the right to decide whether to give you another chance to get another X2.
