About:Beijing Capital Airport Express Train

Directions from Beijing Airport to the South Railway Station

I got told that the fastest and easiest way is to get the Subway.
Only I am completely lost on how to get to the Subway from the airport, what stop I would need to get off at and what transfer line I would need.
Can anybody help me? Or give me a detailed account about what I need to do?
Also how long does the Subway take to get the the Beijing South Railway Station? Just I need to book a train to Qufu East and have no idea what time I would need.
Thankyou to anyone that can help me.

From the airport, take the airport express to Dongzhimen . It only goes one way from the airport so you can't go the wrong way. If you come in at terminal 3, it then calls at terminal 2, Sanyuanqiao and then the last stop is Dongzhimen where it terminates. It costs 25 yuan and will take about 30 mins. From Dongzhimen, you then have to look for Line 2 (which from what I remember is a bit of a walk underground and it's a bit of a maze, but all well signed) and you want to get on line 2 and head for Xuanwumen. Change here for line 4 and it's 4 stops to South station. You'll need to buy a separate ticket for the journey from Dongzhimen to BJ South and that costs 2 yuan. Don't know if you can buy that at the same time you buy the Airport Express ticket. If not, then there'll be plenty of ticket machines at Dongzhimen. The whole journey will take at least an hour. Good luck!
