Does it needed for the company who hires you?
If so, you need to do it in Australia in and then the certificate needs to be notarizated. There is no limitation on the hospitals, but it is suggested to do it in a local public one. After notarization, you can sent it to the company who hires you.

Hi, yes it's for a company who hires me in China. But I am still in Australia. So I will get the HC from a local hospital, do you mean I need to get it notarised at the Chinese Embassy/Consulate?

You just need to get notarised by local Notary Public. Then you still need to get it authenticated in at the Chinese embassy/consulate, so that your certificate is valid in China.
