If I book train tickets through TCG, will I be able to collect paper tickets at Pudong Airport?

We are sorry to tell you that you can not collect the ticket at Pudong Airport.
You can only pick up the ticket at a railway station with your valid passport.
Alternatively, you can use our delivery service that we will deliver the ticket to a hotel you booked in China before your arrival.

Are you sure this reply is really correct?
On this exact same page your information is:

Collect at airports. Foreign visitors usually arrive in China at the international airports in Beijing, Shanghai, and Guangzhou. Some airports have railway ticket offices inside the terminal buildings, and the staff there usually speaks English. A service fee of CNY5 per ticket is charged. This is available at the following airports:
• Shanghai Pudong Airport: B06 Room, Maglev Station; the connection area between Terminal 1 and Terminal 2. Office hour: 08:00 - 18:00.

This seems to suggest you can book the tickets on TCG, then collect the paper tickets at the bigger airports (as longs as you pay the extra fee there of CNY 5 per ticket).
I plan to do the same at Guangzhou airport based on above information. If this information is not correct, could you update it on the site? Thanks!

We promise that the reply is correct.
It seems that you have not noticed the "Important Notice" at the top of this very page, which said that the new identity verification policy requires foreign passengers to have their passports checked at railway stations before collecting their tickets, thus ticket offices at large airports do not offer ticket collection service for foreign passengers since the implementation of the new policy.
So if you book ticket with us, you can collect your ticket at the railway station or have the ticket delivered to you at a hotel you reserved with just a small amount of delivery charge.

Maybe it might be even clearer to delete the outdated information from the website altogether?
But you are completely right I should have payed more attention and read the notice!!
I will send you a separate email to inquire whether it's still possible to change my existing bookings from "collect myself" to "deliver at hotel".

You are right, it will be clearer if deleting the outdated information from the website.
We did not remove the outdated information because that the policy changes sometime, so we consider it may be possible for foreign passengers to collect tickets at airports when there is a new policy someday.
