From Nanjing to Shanghai to Guangzhou

I will travel from Nanjing South to Shanghai Hongqiao. After 2 days I will fly to Guangzhou.

Should I stay near the station or do you recommend hotel located elsewhere?

Thanks.

As you will stay in the city for two days for sightseeing, I suggest you stay in a hotel in the city center, near Nanjing Road or the Bund. Then the transportation will be very convenient to Hongqiao Airport or Pudong Airport, whichever you will leave from.

Thank you Fred. I followed your advice and made reservations near Nanjing and Pedestrian streets. I appreciate it. Now I just have to figure out how to get there from the station if I can avoid a Taxi.

Thanks again.

At Hongqiao Airport or Pudong Airport, you can take local subway line 2 to get off at West Nanjing Road or East Nanjing Road, which depends on the location of your hotel. Then you can easily walk there without taking a taxi.
