About:Policy for Foreigners with Immediate Family Living in China

I am an entertainer and I will be on tour in china next year. What about the visa issue?

How do I get a work type or could I use a business type?

Hi, would you go to China for visiting or for performance?
If you just go there for visiting on your own, you can apply for a Tourist L type for visiting with your valid passport, application form with recent taken photo, round trip tickets to China and hotel booking confirmation in China to apply through your nearby embassy/consulate.

If you go there for performance, you need to obtain a Work Z type for China. Then you need to have have an approval document for commercial performances issued by certain Chinese governments and an invitation letter from your partner in China. Besides, you still need to provide your passport and application letter with photos to apply.
