About:Chinese Embassies and Consulates

My wife is applying for a student visa so What type of visa should i apply for my 3 months old son ?

I am also studying in China on X type

Since you have a X type already now, so your son can apply for a S1 with your invitation letter, your passport & residence permit, your son's birth certificate.

You wife is applying now, so your son cannot apply with her to stay for a long time. For applying S1, the residence permit in China is needed.

No, your medical certificate is not needed for your son.
