beijing to xian train

I plan to arrive in beijing October 1 and plan to leave for Xian the next day. Can I buy my ticket in beijing railway station that day?

You'd better book in advance. October 1 is the National Day holiday of China, and railway tickets will be sold out that day. The tickets are put on sale 20 days in advance, so you can book at least 20 days in advance with an online agency. So you may also prepare to change to flight.
