About:Chinese Paper-cut Museum

Can I stay in the Pudong Airport for 24 hrs without Chinese visa?or do I need to apply for transit?

I am an Indian Passport holder and have Chinese residence and work permit till September 15. I wish to travel to Australia on 1st September and returning back on 20th September morning. I would take a flight back to India on 20th September night to India itself.

Your residence permit for employment is expired when you take the return trip from USA to India. If you stay less than 24 hours at Chinese airport, then you needn't apply for any type because you enjoy 24 hours free transit.
